Two legends. Two of my favorite artists. Stevie and Sting. Watch the video and you’ll see why there isn’t really much to say afterwards.
Stevie, along with a host of other music luminaries joined Sting to celebrate his 60th birthday on October 1, 2011, the eve of his 60th at the Beacon Theatre in New York. The list of on-stage collaborators reads like a performance list for the American Music Awards and includes will.i.am, Lady Gaga, Herbie Hancock, Billy Joel, Bruce Springteen, Branford Marsalis and many others, who performed hits from Sting’s catalog.
What makes this even more amazing is all of the proceeds from this concert were donated to the Robin Hood Foundation, an organization that targets poverty in New York City.
Classic.
